Hyundai Sales Up 22 Percent

2010 was a pretty good year over at Hyundai HQ - and it looks
as though 2011 will be even better. Their sales for January of this
year rose nearly 22 percent over the same month in 2010. This is
great news for the Korean auto maker who is receiving big buzz on
American soil.Hyundai's Sonata sedan continues to be their
best-seller - 13,261 vehicle made it off dealership lots and into
the garages and drive ways of Americans this past January - an
increase over the 5,306 sold last year. The all new Elantra also
hit sales figures totaling 9,659 cars, an increase over the 7,690
of the last-generation model sold in 2010.A total of 4,415 Santa Fe
SUVs were sold, while 4,424 Accent compact cars went to buyers this
past January. These numbers, experts speculate, suggest buyers
might be holding out for a new model expected to launch within the
next year. The remainder of the Korean auto maker's lineup saw
increases as well. Tucson sales came in at 2,863 vehicles (up
almost 600 from January 2010), while the Genesis coupe and sedan
accounted for nearly 1,783 vehicles, an increase of 113 cars.
Veracruz sales jumped 178 units to 579 vehicles, while the company
managed to sell 254 of its new Equus flagship in January.Head on

models!
